Black Ops Mod Tools
I joined the PC team to help package their mod tools again, this time for Black Ops. Working with one of the Tools team engineers, we gathered assets from the mainline depot to put a stand alone SDK together.
After hearing feedback from World At Wars SDK Launcher, I decided to re-design it for Black Ops to provide modders more power with accessability. Black Ops Launcher is written in C#, with the base template used from World At War's written by the Tools team engineer.
When asked to provide a mod example, I decided to include a community favorite of Hide N' Seek. One team hides as props already in the map, and the other team seeks as regular soldiers. I also scripted up a tutorial at round start for Seekers while they waited for grace period, and created a sleek control HUD for the Hiders.
A second mod I included was Juggernaut. Based on the idea of a player being in a heavy suit and slow moving with a powerful MG, for every 2-3 players there would be a Juggernaut. The only way to score points is to get kills as a Juggernaut, and to become a Juggernaut you must kill one.
