Game Overview

Crowe: The Drowned Armory is the first installment of an episodic, single-player cinematic VR experience. Players solve room-scale puzzles and engage in tactical bow-and-shield combat against enemies of different sizes, abilities, and behaviors.

My Contributions

After several years working on Call of Duty, I felt a strong pull toward Virtual Reality — something I had first gotten into as a hobby (spiritually and financially!) and wanted to pursue professionally. That passion led me to accept a designer role at a new VR startup in Los Angeles. My work included:

  • Implementing core gameplay and systems, including:
    • AI behaviors, player abilities, VR interactions, and level-specific scripting.
  • Leading design reviews and coordination to ensure features met the studio’s high quality bar and nothing slipped through the cracks.
  • Architecting and building custom editor tools to streamline workflows across multiple disciplines.
